Can I select a range of celle (quite a large range) and take any formulii out with the cells just resolving to the values? I use =average(1,2,3,4,5,6)

not a direct way of doing it but....
Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste Special/Values
you could paste it into a new sheet and it will just paste the values in the cells and ignore the formatting and formulas0 -
