E credit plus?!?!
Hi
i have just been running through my bank statement and have noticed a company called ecredit plus taking £39.95 out of my bank. I have never heard of nor dealt with this company and cannot understand why they are taking money out of my account or how they got my card details!
Has anyone else had an issue with this company?
I have googled the company and i keep finding people with the same issues who have since applied for loans? Its getting to me as i cant do nothing to the morning but i am annoyed at this company!!

you must have given them or one of their companies your card details
you can ask them forit back(they can keep £5)but be prepared for a wait and a battle
report you card as lost/stolen to your bank so they cant use it again0 -
If you've never given this company details of your bank account, then contact your bank, which will have 24 hour help lines, and tell them about it and ask them to do a charge back.
However, if you have given them your bank details, you've lost your money.
My guess is that you have given them your details at some point. They don't just conjure up your bank details - they get them from you somehow."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
When I googled the most likely source of this fee is for a catalogue account. Have you inadvertently signed up for something like this whilst on-line shopping/ bargain grabbing/ Compo entering????

The fee is £39.95 certainly features in their T&C's
http://www.ecreditcatalogue.co.uk/membershipterms.asp3. RETURNED PAYMENTS: In the event that My membership fee is returned, I understand and agree that E-Credit Plus™ may issue My E-Platinum Plus Shopping Card with a credit line of £1,250 for a one-time enrollment fee of £39.95, which will be debited/charged from My bank/credit card account. If the £39.95 enrollment fee is returned E-Credit Plus™ reserves the right to issue Me a credit line of £250 for a monthly membership fee of £4.95 which will be debited/charged from my bank/credit card account immediately upon presentment, and every month thereafter until I cancel My membership. E-Credit Plus™ may immediately attempt to collect that amount by presenting My debit/charge authorisation to My original banking/credit card institution. I am authorising the debiting/charging of My bank/credit card account; therefore, E-Credit Plus™ is not responsible for any overdraft fees charged by My bank/credit card or incurred by Me due to debit/charge attempt(s).0 -
Would you kindly tell me what you did to cancel this transaction and all future transactions from this company. I am having difficulties finding a contact number for them and don't want them taking any more money from my account?
Thanks xHi

just wanted to post as i spent a while on this topic last week after 'e credit plus' took (without consent when i applied for a payday loan with textloans) £39.95 out of my account...i rang them up first thing the next day and spoke to a snotty american woman! (funny that as they claim to be uk based!) they are infact NOT! anyway she said she would give me a full refund and remove my membership( a membership i dont actually have!) in 5-7 working days. i didnt expect to see that money again to be honest but low and behold have just checked my account and there is £39.95 from this company refunded in there! so please please make sure you phone them and give them your point of view (firmly but still politely) and there is hope of a refund....i hope this has given people like us a lesson no matter how desperate we are NEVER to use these kind of sites
i know have learnt this lesson well an truely!
good luck to those who will continue to be taken in0 -
Oh my god!! Are these guys for real??? I received a letter over christmas to say i was a member of this 'catalogue', little did I realise that the !!!!ers had taken £39.95 from my account. They were finally back today and when I got through this american bird started all the 'blurb' that I had applied and clicked accept offer. hmmmph... Anyway, I politely (lol) told her that if I didn't get my money back I'd report the company to the financial ombudsman. She replied that she would debit my account with £32.95 as they were going to charge me £7.00 for an account that I had not authorised. After a brief exchange she rudely (basically called me stupid) told me to rip the letter up and she would put the full amount back in my account within 5-7 days. Please people be very careful because had I not checked my bank account I would have put this down to just junk mail. I'll let you all know if I get the payment back.0

Isn't that how Google works? You type in a term and are presented with a list of (relative?) links?
Anyway, details of how to contact E-Credit Plus can be found at http://www.ecreditcatalogue.co.uk/customerservice.asp.
Funny how they won't let you see their prices until after you've signed up. I guess they are pretty poor value.0
