Shell them and use them in cakes, breads, salads, nut loaf, colelsaws?
Craftwise you could spray them and make a wreath or use them in a floral display.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

coffee & walnut cake MMMM
Peanuts, cashews etc can be used in chinese cooking of course. I did some chicken nugget covered in chopped dry roasted peanuts once and they were lovely
hazlenuts, toast them off and use in roulades, and other puddings they go nicely with rasperry type stuff
Oh theres a wealth of ideas! !! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I used up a tonne of walnuts in breads and rolls
they are so scrummy
I just added a handful to the mix and did the dough like normal

You can use any mixture of nuts for this, assuming they're not the already roasted & salted kind.
2 handfuls of shelled mixed nuts
2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped
Tablespoon of paprika
Teaspoon of chili powder (adjust for hotness as you like)
Half teaspoon of mixed herbs
2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
dessert spoon of sunflower oil for frying.
mix together the herbs, chili powder and paprika.
In a large heavy frying pan:
Fry the garlic in the oil for a little while and then add the nuts. Stir the nuts around until they start to darken a bit. Sprinkle over the paprika mix and and stir until the nuts are coated with the spices. Don't hang about or the paprika will burn. Add the soy sauce (big whoosh of steam) and continue stirring and frying until the liquid has gone.
Empty the nuts onto a dish lined with kitchen paper, and wait until they've cooled a bit before you taste them!0 -
Have you ever tried a nut roast? We all love this, and we are not veggie. We just have it for a change on a Sunday occasionally. I generally do something along these lines:
