Compensatory Notice Pay

Hi, I would appreciate a bit of help.
The company I worked for went into Liquidation in early summer and I was obviously made redundant-or the job was- I'm comfortable with either description. I didn't take it personally
though I had worked there, man and boy, for 31 years.

The Government kindly stepped in and paid the Redundancy money that I was owed quickly and without confusion. Which was nice!

I am now nearing the end of the Statutory Notice Period and, for the life of me, I can't work out what that Sum will come to.
I am aware it will be a Maximum of £400 per week but don't know if that is subject to tax.

Also, I was lucky enough to find a new job very quickly and have been earning for 7 of those 12 weeks and claimed £270 in Job Seekers prior to landing the Job.
Are the earnings (including Job Seekers) knocked off the Statutory Notice Money?

In short my questions are this...

Is Statutory Notice Pay taxed?
and are my earnings offset against the Notice money?

I would appreciate any help as Google has proven useless!

Notice pay is taxable, as is JSA.

You are meant to mitigate your losses and therefore I believe the money received via earnings (and JSA) would be deducted from the notice pay.
