Cheap Train Tickets - Sheffield to Norwich 18/11/2011
Hi I am wondering whether anyone on here can help get cheaper train tickets from Sheffield to Norwich on the 18th November. I don't really care what time of day, preferably not too early!
I need 2 adult tickets, with 1 16-25 railcard. I got tickets to Sheffield the day before for £14 or so but on the way home the cheapest I have found are about £27. Also that is with a split at grantham for the same train (if that makes sense).
I'm not sure if the tickets will get any cheaper because I bought the ones to Sheffield about a week ago and have been checking for tickets back since. Also it says on this site 12 weeks is about the right time to buy but they aren't getting any ceaper as far as I can tell.
Cheers, Roy.

You haven't been very clear.
Two adults travelling, one with a 16-25 railcard.
What does the '£14 or so' relate to?
Is that for one or two travellers?
I can currently see the return leg possible for £14.50 using an Advance Single leaving Sheffield at 10:38.
That's for one person with a railcard.
W/o a railcard, that fare becomes £22.00.
No splitting needed.
No idea whether that's cheaper than what you have already found though.
Info from East Coast Trains.0 -
Right so the £14 was for the journey from Norwich to Sheffield the day before at £9 for an adult and then whatever for the railcard.
Yes I mean 2 adults, 1 of which has a railcard.
When I say split I mean it is one direct train but the ticket is divided into the 2 legs. Which I found for about £27 overall for 2 people (1 railcard)
However I was wondering whether there is any way to get the same fare back to Norwich or an other way of getting it less than £27.0
