Hello all...
Can anyone help? I need to set up a new joint account with my G'friend for our first mortgage payment, bills etc. I applied with Natwest, whom I bank with, and HSBC, whom she banks with...but neither accepted us due to my ccj that still has 2yrs to run!
Is there a list of decent banks suiting this situation? Has anyone been through this and resolved without much hassle?
Thanks in adv for any advice etc.

Hi, you could try getting a Cashminder basic account with the Co-operative Bank. You can operate Direct Debits, Standing Orders, get a Visa debit card, online & phone banking and use your local Post Office for banking too. You won't get an overdraft or cheque book but that's no loss

Most banks offer basic accounts - as long as you are not bankrupt or have been involved in fraudently activity - will open an account for you.
Have a look online for the high street bank's websites.0
