It really seems store specific. Went to 2 extras in ssenrevnI (backwards) and didn't work. Went to another extra at llawgniD at it did work!

Thanks so much to you lot. I have my foster kids leaving party at the weekend and have 60 odd people to cater for. I have now 'bought' them all a jelly, so that is one dessert taken care of! And I got money off the loaves of bread I bought with them

Purely in the name of research you understand (I hate rice pudding & custard but DS loves them):

Transaction 1:

3 x Rice Pudding
3 x Low Fat Rice Pudding
3 x Custard
3 x Low Fat Custard
3 x Banana Custard
3 x Strawberry Custard
3 x Chocolate Custard
3 x Toffee Custard

Total: 93p

Transaction 2:

3 x Toffee Custard
69 x mixture of all others

Total: 57p

£1.50 for 96 pots of rice & custard. I don't mind paying for the toffee ones as I needed something to bring the bill up.

Here's a wee hint for you all. On the SS tils at the bottom of the screen is an icon where you can mute the sound. It still beeps when you scan but it means when you hit sub-total it doesn't ask you very loudly for your clubcard. That means you can do what I did with transaction 1 and scan something that costs money, scan 3 same custards/rices, subtotal and see if the double discount comes off. I did this and figured out it was the Toffee Custard that didn't work.

When it came to transaction 2 I put a £1 coin in my pocket, filled my boots and lifted 3 toffees knowing that would bring the transaction into a positive number. No sub-totals just scan scan scan (yes I found my backbone. It's located just behind my brass ones!). When SA isn't looking hit sub-total and stick that pound coin in. I didn't bother with anything else except the rices & custard the second time around.

Working at Cla#t#n on sea brook pk. Just bought rice, custard and blackcurrant jelly. Plenty left as at 3pm. I tried this glitch when it first came out at this store and it didn't work but sure is now thanks op

Went to a 'normal' Tesco, and it worked there as well. Got 3 regular custard and 3 LF rice pudding.
This was at 14.51. x

It worked for me just now! I bought 39 in one fell swoop, and added some other bits to make it look less obvious.

Hi guys
Is it me or is the general public bonkers? Just tried telling two different people in T's about the glitch-one looked at me as though I was mental and the other said "oh really ?" and picked up one extra to make her 2 pots total 3!!!!!

Oh well!

Anyway guys it's still worth checking your store if glitch didn't work before may be doing now, in one of my locals it definitely was not working at the wkd and 48 pots of jelly and custard later it is now
