Does anyone know the best place to buy the imac 21.5" £999 at Apple shop, but interest free deal??

    well if you nab a student to go with you you can get it with student discount.

    I personally would hate to buy a computer on credit as if it broke you would be effectively paying for a computer that you no longer could use.

    an option could be buy the mac mini and a monitor then use either a keyboard and mouse you have or buy them. (again buy the mac mini with a student)

    Can I ask why you're buying a new one and not getting a slightly older one second-hand. Not trying to be funny but older macs keep their usefulness and value much better than other computers, plus upgrades can be messy. I'm a mac fan by the way -I just don't see why it needs so many "improvements".

    If you're not on lion currently and then you're migrating to it on the new model, you could end up having to junk a lot of your exisiting software because they're no longer supported.

    If you have or could apply for one of these 18 month('ish) Interest Free Credit Card Martin keeps posting about or a 5% Cash Back Credit Card and pay for it on one of those it will give you either 5% off the price or and period of Interest free (which could be switched when that period runs out).
