Price Comparison sites don't Compare Prices

Actually OP is dead right. Recently looking for hotels I used travel supermarket. When I followed links to the sites, they gave me a higher price than if I went to the sites direct. Same with trip advisor and others. Best thing to do is find best price with a comparison site, then go to the site direct. As for not listing every price, this is to be expected, but I agree it is very annoying that kelkoo no longer lists in order of price - I assume their order has more to do with which companies they get more money from :-(If you don't have anything nice (or constructive) to say... DON'T SAY IT!0

Cashback sites Greasypalm and mycashback also appear to charge much more than if you go direct to the suppliers website. So yes, you get £10 cashback, but you pay £20 more by going through their link.
Never used these sites since discovering this little wheeze. Quidco, to my knowledge do not add anything.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
I would argue that aggregator sites are different (likes of travel supermarket etc) but would like to see any example of a normal ecommerce goods site like Amazon or Currys etc that charges more when someone has gone through an affiliate link as I have never seen this happenAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Am I missing something here? There do seem to be some price comparison web-sites out there that actually make do with the commision they must get for referrals.
One example is find-dvd (and its sister sites) who seem to actually come up with a broad list of sellers, both companies you have heard of and those you haven't, and seems to be honest in the prices it quotes.0
