Clothes shopping for 9 year old...?

I've just had a look at Next's Autumn range online. They have some very nice clothes (jeans, hoodies, tunics), but as usual, I did feel that there weren't any long sleeved t-shirts that either of my girls would want to wear. And this is what we always struggle with. A lot of them are too 'cute' and girly, despite going up to age 16 in size. I would just like really good quality, plain classic long sleeved tops, similar to Boden who sadly stop at about age 14 (which my tall but slim almost 10 year old wears.)
Someone mentioned Zara Kids. We like them too.0

If she is that tall you would be better off with some plain ladies size 6 or 8 (was pleased when DD reached this age as it gave far more options).Truth always poses doubts & questions. Yes, good idea, my 11 year old wears some size 6 clothes.
I suppose because my youngest is smaller and a tomboy, I haven't looked at this option for her yet. She's tall for her age, but still the size of a child really, just absolutely abhors tight clothing in any form (like skinny jeans or leggings) so ends up in larger sizes. On principle I also think it's ridiculous to buy adult clothes (attracting VAT) for a 9 year old child. She's not abnormally tall for a child, just maybe a few years beyond 'average', so maybe an average 12 year old size who wears age 13/14 because she likes her clothes to be baggy as opposed to tight fitting. Interestingly, boys clothes are cut much more generously, so she can wear age 11 in those.0

Yes I would have thought older girls especially those at around 15 would be far better off wearing a small womens size.. At 15 I was 5 ft 11 and wore a size 10!£608.98
