Using my phone in Egypt..

Im going to Egypt and want to use my phone for texts back to the UK and occasional internet use.

Im with T-mobile and they said Egypt is outside the Europe so therefore the cost is £7.50 per MB of data....Can someone tell me how much time/useage I would get for a MB??? As this seems expensive??

We recently went to Spain and i bought a 50 MB euro booster for £10...T-mobile said it would last a month... it lasted 2 days:eek: ...all i did was quickly check my emails and have a quick look on facebook so my advice is don't do it

I believe it is about 10 hours per gig, so you would not get much done for £7.50. Might be worth buying some time on a computer in the hotel instead.

leave the internet off on your phone.

When you get to Egypt simply buy a local SIM card for your phone. (providing your phone is unlocked).
There are a few mobile phone companies there and a SIM will only cost you about £5.
