You can study while claiming ESA and I doubt that the course you are describing will have any effect on your claim but it's always wise to mention it to your JCP advisor so that they're aware.0

Even though it is only two hours it could still be classified as a Full-time course by the provider. If it is then you have no entitlement to ESA(IR) unless you also get some level of DLA.0

I did a distance learning diploma whilst in the ESA WRAG last year. They were very supportive of me doing it as I was doing it in order to help myself retrain for a new career. Good luck!0

I thought full time was 12 (credit) hours per week or more? ( for distance and other learning)
Reason I am asking is that I am considering OU and have been looking into it. What you state may affect this. I don't get EMA (yet) but iI am presuming other benefits may be affected?“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
