nice one. Not a fan of all the facilities, but some of them have their uses......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
on second thoughts, don't bother, I just tried it. I'll stick with TU 2008 thanks
p.s. I've got a key for 2008 if anyone wants it......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

IMO these can do little more than CCleaner (Free) and the windows utilities.
The sticky thread from "Closed" also has some worthwhile tips on getting rid of clutter.
Another option is to up the RAM if lower than 1GB."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

It's FREE and has a heap of awards!! (and recommended by GD)
I use ccleaner but TU might tidy up a little more, what harm to keep things tidied up???0 -

No harm at all as long as they are adding value and not just leaving their own little mess somewhere else.;)"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

No, it has quite a few extra options that are quite useful and make removing clutter quite easy (for example, a nicer interface for removing start-up clutter than msconfig). It's a nice all-round tool, and for free it's definitely worth getting.0 -
Awards mean nothing, tuneup utilities rarely do anything which will improve performance.
Most, including this one add startup processes or services that add more bloat.
Unless a machine is in a really bad state, these functions make little difference, and most are available in the much lighter ccleaner or built-in to the OS already
clean registry
defrag registry
remove broken shortcuts
gain disk space
optimize startup/shutdown
defrag!!

on the older versions, the RWIN/MTU setting facility was useful, worked quite well and is a better interface than drTCP...the main reason I kept 2008 version. Don't use anything else on it, except maybe the memory optimizer on occasion on a low-spec system for trial purposes.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
