BT Postcode Activation Delay

Hi,
I'm in the process of moving home to a brand new build and we move on the 16th September. I have therefore used sky's home move to transfer all my current services to the new address. The problem I have is that my property is the first to be ready on a brand new postcode. I managed to get this postcode enabled on Wednesday and its now showing on most systems except BT. Therefore sky are unable to provide me with line rental and Broadband at my new address until the postcode is activated on BT's system. They are saying it can take up to 3 months to be activated on there system. Has anybody else had any issues with BT on this?
BT are saying that they have no line into my new address even though I have a white BT manhole cover on the end of my drive and 3 phone point sockets in the property. I'm just a little confused how this can be when they have no record.
Any comments would be appreciated.

BT wired to that manhole ready for when new owners asked for lines but the builder wired the house and installed the internal sockets (even if they have a BT logo on them).
Hence, there is no BT line into your new address.
I got lucky with my new house. The builders had a BT line installed in their show home and so the new postcode appeared on BT's systems.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
12 weeks is a worse-case scenario, usially it is 4, as BT take a direct feed from RM's PAF (Postcode Address File). Keep checking for the address on the Royal Mail's address checker, and when it's on there, BT will have access to it.0

My daughter's new house was like that, external NTE5,internal sockets but no dial tone- all BT did was to connect up in the local "green" cabinet - didn't have to come to the house- but it still cost ~£125!!:(0 -

BT paid the builder a lot more than £125 to put the BT services into your daughters property0 -

The address is already on the PAF and sky can find it on their system and so can comet as ordered a new dishwasher and it found it straight away. I'll keep pestering sky as they have now had to cancel my home phone and broadband until They can place an order on BT system.
Hopefully won't take too long0 -
HI,
I'm still having no luck in being able to get Broadband and a telephone for my new address. The address appears on the Royal Mail PAF and has done for 4 weeks but BT are still unable to see it on their system. I have phoned both Sky and BT and they have both said they cannot offer me any of these services until they can place an order with BT wholesale to get openreach to come and link my property to the green box on my street. What is more annoying is we have got new neighbours moving into the property accross the road next weekend and BT have already activated their line for them as its on a different postcode.
Can anybody offer any advise on what I can do next? I spoke to the site manager who said openreach have been on the development this week putting in more cabling for properties that will be ready in 6 months time.
Thanks in advance0 -
