Well handed my form in on 6th Sept and they still havent sent it off!!!!!! No countersignatory being able to sign - !!!!!!. Meant to have storted it this week but it still isn't online to track!

The problem is with CRBs that there are quite a few points in the process at which delays can occur, whether with the original employer, CRB itself, or the various police forces and other organisations they need to request information from.

Employers do, of course, have the option to employ someone pending their CRB coming through. Even schools do this, especially where it is a case of 'renewal' rather than a completely new application.

Well it's nothing to do with the CRB as it's not been sent off and if anything was missing they would have informed me when I handed it in. It's the whole not having anyone to countersign for 2 weeks!!!!

I have a current CRB but can't start work without this new one as it's a hospital.

Well i'm still waiting. I checked the tracker each day and it wasnt recieved, contacted HR multiple times. Was told they were investigating as the crb hadn't recieved it. On 21st September got email from recruitment with links to apply online through the hospital. Checked tracker again and it had been up-dated - 16th recieved by crb, 20th returned as there were errors. Now its just a waiting game as I cant track this application 4 working days and counting.
I just want to start and they only have 2 starting dates a month.

As I can't track online my application I have been emailing HR for updates. Emailed today and was sent a screenshot of where my application was. It was at the LPF stage. 10 mins after recieving this I get an email to say they have my crb and I can sort out a start date!!!!

22nd ID section completed + application section completed + quality check completed + sent to CRB + initial check
28th PNC stage + ISA & List99
In process LPF stage

Total days at CRB = 7

If only they hadn't messed up my first application I would have been starting next week but I have to wait till 17th october now.
