lost post, buyer no longer registered advice please

Hi
About a 3weeks ago i sold an item to a buyer who said that they did not receive the item, i asked them to wait untill royal mail investigated as i smelt something fishy going on, they left a negtaive feedback and lied in the follow up. I have now submitted the claim form to royal mail. I have tried to email them over the course of things to keep them udated but they never replied to emails. Now i have noticed that they are no longer registered users of ebay, what should i do when and if i get the money from royal mail? do i send them the money or do i send them a replacement product?
cant ask them because they dont reply to any email

Well in that case I would do nothing. Few reasons I say this. (1) They aren't a registered user of eBay anymore so the transaction is effectively void (2) They left you a neg without giving you the chance to make things right. Not only this they lied in a follow up to make you look bad. (3) If they are so concerned about this item, then they would reply to emails.

If it were me, I would let this one die of death. It sounds pretty suss to me. Nothing can be done now they've been kicked off eBay.

Once the buyer leaves a negative he has effectively closed the transaction . Buyers should give sellers time to sort things out before being trigger happy with the feedback.

In this case, especially as he is now NARU, I would keep any money you receive and definitely not send a replacement item.

  • Keep the money and don't send a replacement. Is there no way you can question the feedback with ebay now the buyer is NARU and get it removed??

Not your fault if they are no longer answering your emails.
Just wait for them to contact you (I bet they wont).
