No idea how you could get your £1000 but you could do a few smaller things. Sign up to ChaCha (just launched in UK and there's a thread about them on here...small earnings though).

Most people have something they can sell. Have you genuinely got nothing? Even stuff you could stick on Gumtree?

I cleared everything out a while back. 6 Month rule. If I haven't used it, it's gone.

I work as a carer for my mum so can't get a second job as the wages would just go on paying for care for her.

What do you do for work at the mo? Is it anything you could do privately for extra cash? Like PC repair? Or do you have any skills that you could do something from your home?

I've read every thread I can find on here about working from home. There's doesn't seem to be anything I can make work for me. There's a few jobs as customer care, but being a carer I won't always have the 20 hours per week to put in.

  • Thanks LVM, I'll have a read up about it and understand what it is first, I have well an ok amount of money so could put in £100 in there or here.
  • Buy and sell on eBay? £200 could go a long way at a car boot sale if you buy sensible.
  • Hi Rev,

I myself am on a mission to turn my little bit of savings into a lot more in order to pay off my outstanding loan to save myself the repayments each month.
Ive signed up to all of the mystery shopping companies I possibly can along with Survey sites hoping to boost it a bit this way, not expecting to make a fortune this way but every lil helps! Im also going to take my chances on the bet matching if I can figure it out as well as selling little bits from around the house if I find anything I no longer need.

If I think of anything else Ill swing back and pass it on, feel free to do the same if you find any magical ways of doubling our money over night maybe? lol
