How can I turn £200 into £1000?

Right, a few months back I invested £20 in matched betting. I haven't put that much time into it and now have £200 sitting in my betfair account.

I'm no expert and absolutely crap with numbers so have relied on the automatcher over at freebets4all. I seem to have done all the smaller ones and can't afford to put any more money into it to do the larger ones.

So my question is, what other ways are there to turn £200 into £1000 within two months?

Doesn't have to be £1000, that's just a target I have set myself. It's all going to pay my credit card (boring, I know). So any amount is great really, but £1000 would pay it entirely. Hence the target.

I don't have anything to sell on ebay or car boots etc. I work as a carer for my mum so can't get a second job as the wages would just go on paying for care for her.

So does anyone have any idea's besides matched betting?

Well, as a fan of matched betting I have to say you're missing out on sooooo much more money than £200!!

And having myself started with the Automatcher and now knowing better, you can make a lot more money without it.

If you're not totally against doing more matched betting feel free to PM me a list of the bookies you have done and I can tell you what others to do...

There's nothing that's going to get you as much money as MBing if you can't sell anything or can't get a job.
  • So how much work do you actually do in matched betting, just read up about and bit confused lol

I'm not against it, I just truly have no idea with numbers and how to match bets etc. So have relied 100% on the auto matcher. I don't have any more cash to put in.

Honestly it was something I did as a bit of fun to see if I could actually make money from it. I couldn't even list all the bookies I've done (I know I should be able too) as it wasn't something I was taking serious.

I'm open too doing more. Just don't have anything besides £200 and no idea how to match bets myself without the help of the automatcher.

I'm just not convinced that matched betting is THE only way of turning £200 into £1000.

I was very confused too. Trick is to read and read and read and read some more. Until it kicks in. Freebets4all has been invaluable to me.

It's taken months over all, but that's been less than an hour a week.

I don't do a lot any more apart from the odd promo that comes through (not often) but as a brand new customer £700 is easy peasy. How fast you get there depends on how much money you can invest initially (to lay off the bets on Betfair). I've done the offers on 4 people's accounts although wasn't able to maximise the profit must because they realised I'd used the same IP address before.

I've still got about £150 left to do but after you've done so many it does get a tad tedious.

You definitely need to read and fully understand what you're doing first. And use the very small bets to practice - the worst thing you can do is start doing the good £50+ promos and not taking full advantage of them.

Let me know if you need any help if you do go ahead...

You can theoretically make thousands. But you need money to invest at first.

So nobody has any idea's besides matched betting?

From the easy offers I'd say £700 from the introductory offers. To make thousands you'd have to be VERY experienced and take advantage of different situations...Arbs really but won't go into that.

From the 4 different user accounts I set up for bookies I made around £2.5k for just pure betting (you can make a hundred or so quid extra in cashback for each person).

When I started I pretty much had enough cash to do what I liked (to an extent!) so could do it all very quickly. But you could start doing the very small offers with around £50 (you'll need around £100 to do some of the bigger ones though but your Betfair balance will increase gradually so you'll get this anyway).

Just shout if you have any other questions!

No idea how you could get your £1000 but you could do a few smaller things. Sign up to ChaCha (just launched in UK and there's a thread about them on here...small earnings though).

Most people have something they can sell. Have you genuinely got nothing? Even stuff you could stick on Gumtree?

What do you do for work at the mo? Is it anything you could do privately for extra cash? Like PC repair? Or do you have any skills that you could do something from your home?
