Cracked sunroof glass on Honda CRV
I discovered a crack this morning which is over a foot long and reported this to my insurers. I am in Greece on holiday with the car and will not return to the UK for a few weeks. The insurers say it's OK to wait until I get back as the glass won't break. I'm not sure how they can be so confident and I feel rather uncomfortable about their response as I am worried about the glass breaking - probably when I'm miles from anywhere.
Should I be concerned?

The glass roof on your CRV is made of laminated glass and as such wont shatter or break into pieces.
Laminated glass is made up of 2 pieces of glass with an interlayer in between you have probably only broke 1 layer of glass and the other is fine.
The chances are when you phoned your insurance company on the glass helpline you got put through to their recommended repairer.
I wouldnt worry about the crack it may get bigger whilst driving or sitting in the sun but it will only go to the edge and thats it.

p.s Enjoy your holiday0
