Is it a good or bad thing that HFO have not replied to the letter from the link Fermi posted?
Hope they have given up!0 -
Almost 2 months have passed.... did you have your credit report changed or received any letter from HFO?siscor
Barclays claimed £260, solved with £75
Barclayscard -> HFO Services claimed £2000, not solved yet

Most likely your credit file has been trashed.
Not paying your loan has consequences.0 -
I have not recieved a thing from HFO, have not checked my credit report. Do you advise i should?
Probably nothing there. The Welcome entry would have dropped off six years after a default was registered.
I don't see many (any) HFO entries on credit reports.
It's worth checking your file once a year but don't pay more than £2 to do it.

I last dealt with HFO in September 2011 by sending all the above letters. This morning received a letter from HFO Capital (not HFO Services) based in Dublin. Saying my account has been passed to Roxburghe (UK) Limited, these strangely have the same address as HFO services! Loan was taken 2005 so def statute barred!
Ignore or send them another stat barred letter?
Letter I got only says that I must directly correspond with roxburghe!0 -
Do we pretend that we don't know that Roxburghe and HFO are one and the same, and send the SB letter again?
Or just go straight to the complaint forms: OFT, FOS, Trading Standards, CSA (Credit Services Association)?
It's your call.0 -
