Paper shares and best service for me?

I have a bundle of paper shares, some of which I want to keep, some I want to sell.
They're all FTSE500's i think, not sure if that matters, please forgive my ignorance.
What is the best service to use?
I read some of the share dealing article recommending hoodless, if i use hoodless can I sell shares within the 1st month without admin fees on their offer?
Any comments and suggestions welcome

Can I suggest using Selftrade instead?
They charge £12.50/trade for buying or selling shares (regardless of whether its online or via telephone) and have a better reputation then hoodless brennan who have been in trouble with the FSA in the past.
In addition, they will also give you £50 if you are referred by an existing customer (though you can increase this to £80: see here)

£12.50 per sell and buy seems expensive long term compared to others, even my own banks ones.
Any other suggestion is welcome.
Thanks anyways gt94sss20 -
Which bank is it?
I ask as the only reasonably priced bank share dealing services I have seen are from HSBC/First Direct..
It also depends on what you want:
- do you want to buy shares abroad
- do you want an ISA account
- do you trade by telephone or only online etc.
All of these impact the price etc..
