Can bank take my entire wages to reduce the debt on the account?

I'd ask your bank but I do echo what others have said in the fact it is unlikely you will get it back. I have had the same thing happen, ironically for about the same amount. I got through it ... because I had no choice! It was very much a case of eating basic food for 4 weeks! (although it sounds like that's your plan and it's not working out!) In the end it was ok because my hand was forced and I paid the overdraft back quicker than I ever would have. If you genuinely cannot survive can you sell anything or borrow from a family member and work overtime to pay it back next month?
To add...I have some rare spare time tonight to browse the forum and get some ideas for extra income. I am amazed by the bad attitude of some people on here. I have made mistakes in my life and am paying a DMP. I come on moneysavingexpert when I get the chance as there are alot of people in similar boats which is consoling to me. I guess it's not a support group but I cannot believe the number of posts where people are having a go, seemingly for the sake of it. Once again, I am left wondering if people genuinely would talk face to face in the same manner. The poster has made a mistake and will suffer through lack of funds and decent food for a month. I'm sure that's a valuable enough lesson!0
