hi martin, my father-in-law sent his bank a letter saying he didn,t ask for ppi, they have now sent him a letter saying he signed the form to say he did, the thing is he didn't know he had it and never wanted it, can he claim again?

Hi and welcome.
It all depends how much he can remember about the actual sale, what he was told, what information he was given etc.
Is the PPI on a loan or credit card? That can make a difference. With a loan it might only be mentioned on the agreement and not very clearly. With a credit card it will be shown on every monthly statement, so it's harder to prove someone wasn't aware of it.
