does anyone know what this is, l keep getting a square box appearing especially when lm on ebay and it says
the server ad-emea.doubleclick.net at DSL Router requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
when l try to get rid of it the webpage turns black, any ideas?

Dont worry about it,
doubleclick is a tracking site which is used by companies to advertise services and they get paid per click or per sale.
Seems ebay/facebook etc use it, anyway ... like takeiteasy77 said, it's trying to show you something that is hosted in a protected area on their webserver. This will be an advertising image, if you click cancel and look for any adverts on the page, i can assure you they will be a red x because you don't have the username/password to see .jpg or .gif file.
Hope that helps
