  • Do you only use webmail? Thunderbird and Lightning (mozilla) are a mail client/calendar that accept these, or Sunbird the stand alone calendar from mozilla should help.

yes I do dcm, someone else suggested Thunderbird as well but I thought there must be some way Windows Live Mail could deal with it but it's been driving me mad trying to suss it out. Thanks very much for your prompt reply, I'll definitely go with one of those. Which would you suggest as most user-friendly?

  • I personally I use Tbird/Lightning , have done since the end of the carrier pigeon ;). You can also get an add-on for Google Calendar too, but I don't hold much faith on cloud nine storage. You can run Thunderbird along side with Live Mail, and you can set it to leave your mail on your server (eg Hotmail/Live Mail/Gmail/Yahoo/GMX etc). The calendar project Lightning/Sunbird is here http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/ and Thunderbird is here http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/

After keep trying I'm having to throw myself at your mercy please ! After dowloading it via the wizard it then asks me if I want to open Thunderbird and asks me for a password for .............@blueyonder@imap.googlemail.com !!! What sort of address is that ! After uninstalling and reinstalling six times I keep getting the same question :(
