How sneaky does one have to be to be replacing Primark labels with Topshop ones

Noticed this cardi in Primark yesterday and later while browsing ebay same cardigan but with an old Topshop label advertised as "vintage Topshop" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VGE-TOPSHOP-OVERSIZED-NORDIC-FAIRLISLE-CARDIGAN-8-10-12-/320752072489?pt=UK_Women_s_Jumpers_Cardigans&hash=item4aae503729
Bizzare, I thought, maybe a coincidence and Primark is selling something that is identical to what Topshop did a few years ago?
But hey, checked the sellers completed listing and guess what- she has already sold one of these-also advertised as "vintage Topshop" BUT with the original Primark label(for £41- in shops around £15)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VGE-TOPSHOP-OVERSIZED-FAIRISLE-NORDIC-KITSCH-CARDIGAN-/320748687515?pt=UK_Women_s_Jumpers_Cardigans&hash=item4aae1c909b

Primark stuff often sells for silly money anyway.0

It doesn't look like it has happened in this case, but a lot of discount retailers buy up end of ranges and surplus clothing from other stores and have them relabelled as their own brand. There are companies whose job it is to technically rebrand items..0

OMG! Have you noticed that its listed as slightly damaged with a small hole at the back of the neck- most likely happened when she ripped the primark label out! LOL0

I think this is the same seller I posted about a few weeks ago selling original vintage items that were brand new from primark, and also selling current Primark jewellery as untagged but from Topshop. Also not registered as a business seller.

Silly question but why would you need to remove the label on a vintage cardi, they're hardly likely to take it back are they?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I think they should be removed from ebay merely for using the phrase 'on trend' in one of their descriptions...0
