A popular misconception.
I saw this repeatedly quoted and the builders finally piped up and said "the government will only authorise land for building flats at the moment"
The government might not be in control of the security of your house and car, but they are in control of everything else.0 -

Why do people have to tell of their personal situations.
The original poster should look at ALL the factors before making a decision. Maybe he/she should do a for/against for each place they are looking at and base their decsion on that. Do not discount ANYTHING.
Base all decisions on quality if live, not vanity and you'll always make the right choice.
it's not as if i'm going to make a decision as important as this on the basis of what fellow MSErs say (sorry guys:rolleyes: )
Just thought that it was interesting because when i was discussing it with my parents, my mum was adament that i should go for a house (because they are building so many flats etc..) whereas my dad really thought i'd be better off with a flat - think this was swayed by the fact that he doesn't want to be roped into doing my garden
appreciate that it's all to do with my own personal circumstances etc. etc. and will certainly go and look at both, and weigh up pros and cons before i make a final decision0 -
