It has taken me months to come round and understand all of this, even when you think you have adjusted. Just keep visiting this forum and reading advice. I know this sounds sensible in principle, but I'm sure you're aware that transfering balances costs money. I'd put my efforts into just paying back your cards one at a time starting with the highest interest one first. Once you get past the halfway mark on a cards limit it's all downhill. You pay less in interest, so have even more with which to pay off!!
Also, getting more cards at 0% gives you the potential to get into even more of a mess. Despite your best intentions, it's all to easy to spend any 'spare' balance on your credit card. You might start by buying £30 of petrol and a few essentials from Tesco and saying "It's ok... It's only a few quid, I'll pay it off next month" - in reality this rarely happens.
My advice - cut up your cards and pay off as much as possible every month. Use any spare cash to pay of your debts, however small. It might seem like you're getting nowhere to begin with but once you gain momentum, believe me, it's worth it - the feeling of seeing your balances get lower and lower is great!! And once they are completely paid of it's amazing.0 -

They don't care about us. Many big companies staff their phones with incompetent idiots with only a basic knowledge of what they are dealing with.
Best of lick with you DF goal!0 -
true, they are really incompetent - why is that? surely it would be worth paying for 20% less staff, but that staff would be actually experienced, helpful etc...??Total debt £3625.07.
