    i've done my back in:(

and my OH is clamping down:mad:

had a day off shopping yesterday and it was actually liberating:A

no electricals in my locals and with Oh and kids at home can't venture much further (yet-just waiting for him to take them out for me lol)

1st local i went to managers were following me around, one said to the other we should give her a job-i asked one of them to scan the ben ten toy at the till and he went all the way to the self scanner to check the price!!! told him he shouldn't have and blushed, anyway couldn't get out of there fast enough and will have to try and lie low for a while

other problem is further afield stores don't have self scanners and i find this a real pain which is why is tick to 2 of my regular local stores

my finds today? ok if you must know......

i did get LOADS of pukka pads (probably the only thing i've got more of than you nikkilal lol!)

massive water guns for my kids 2.50
4 pack smaller water guns 50p
    document wallets 13p
    10packs honey shreddies
small headphones 41p (sorry can't remember brand)
    ben ten wrist thing 1.90
lots of kids toys can't remember exactly what else and still hiding in car!!
    4 colour pens 12p 3 for 2
GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Ok take that back, that's not slacking:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:that's a B~~~~y good haul! It's poop with a bad back but then when my back goes I'm better off keeping active so a walk round T's is therapeutic I'd say;) I am yet to find the illusive Pukka pads but my day will come and at least 20 will be waiting for me.
Going to do my housework in a minute with my new slendertone thingie on, so exercising while I work:T:T:T

Any chance people could post the model number or barcode when they get a bargain my nearest tesco has no scanner and I don't want to keep asking staff as it alerts them to the bargains, lol.

Kenwood Kmix toaster (black) 5011423137933 £5.10 (SEL £27.99ish)
Samsung PL150 digital camera (display model) 8806386939291 £30

All but the first two were in one Homeplus so I think I was just lucky as they had just put these items out? They were priced low so went in minutes!

    Good luck!

    well, here's about my experience:

managed to get the w370 and 310 as well as two ex-display Lumix S30, one for 30 quid, the other for 20 quid. however, when looking for laptops, this is what I've expeirenced:

    1. Mu55elbu6gh Extra - on approaching the electrical desk, I saw the techy guy scanning a dell laptop, which at D8lke4th HardeN8reen went for 149 quid. When he saw me, he immediately put it away, and when i asked him about discounted laptops, he said there was none. I knew from anouther store, that Mu55elbu6gh Extra were to have a special deal on - presumably all went to staff.

    2. Edinburgh C00rtstorph11ne - when asked a few times last week if they had any discouneted laptops, all i heard there were none. Today, i asked a member of staff from non-electrical department, and he said that there were laptops in stock and that overnight staff managed to grab a few (!) in the morning. But then, i spoke to the manager and he said that all laptops had gone a few weeks ago etc. and then he proceeded to list all the things that were on special offer - as if to tell me: here mate this is what you've missed out on. This is the lowest of behaviours and we've read on this forum about such or similar practices.

    3. Headoffice - I don't understand why actually discounted products are not marked on the shelf as such. This kind of attitude is clearly misleading to customers - why should I have to scan items and ask or rather beg staff (who are unwilling to do so anyway - especially at Edinburgh C00rtstorph11ne) for the most up-to-date prices? Something not right here, is there?????

Anyway, I don't grudge Tesco staff getting their offers - and we all know that Tesco staff have done it becuase they've posted their finds here. What i do grudge is the greedy nature of their managers and the so called exclusivity of the club. I also can't stand those blatant lies to customers.

It was good fun trying to find those deals - a bit adrenaline rising, too. The search for a laptop proved more costly than the search for the cameras - what people forget is about the petrol they'll need to drive to their stores, some within a 50 mile radius, as has been posted here. Thank God, my Tesco stores were within a 15 mile radius, but I still consider this a long distance, given the current prices of petrol. So, all in all, I'm out of the game - it's too tiring and proving to be more costly soon than the price of an actual 20 or 30 quid camera, let alone the time needed to get to places.
