  • Checked cra@avon (NI store) tesco's this morning. They had the 71p irons today - they were none last week. There was 1 Tricity breadmaker but was unboxed and had a yellow reduced sticker £59.80 stuck to its side. The tech guys were great, checked for the twin portable DVD players for me there was the box with the man and the box with they boy. One was £79 and the other £99. Was told that the cheap laptops all went thur and fri last week. Didn't check sat navs or camera's. The hairdryer section had been cleared out - i'm assuming these must have been going through cheap. Found the Silk epil 5 but scanned at full price. There were some shavers left didn't bother scanning though. Got a technika hifi dvd, radio and cassette tape player for £8.50. The hifi was silver and the speakers wood with a silver face - if that makes any sense, box was green and white. I hope that is helpful to someone.

Oh a local fellow MSEr, didnt think there were many on here. I checked sat navs and cameras yesterday with no luck, same with hairdryers as wanted one for DD. Did pick up an upright Hoover for £18 (last one on shelf) and some sony headphones for pressies though could do with some more of those. Contemplating heading over in the morning again now as there were def no irons yesterday so maybe some more stock available and have a pair of jeans to exchange anyway......oh and would need to buy some food too lol

Samantha when I got them tonight czerchania told me where to find them and I would never have looked there. They were in with all the baby stuff in the pharmacy aisles and nowhere near the electricals. It might be worth another look if you have'nt looked in that part of T's;)

This is where I found the one I got yesterday too, although it was with the toiletries in the health/beauty/baby/pharmacy section rather than with the baby stuff. It was on the bottom shelf, pushed back, and I only spotted it by sheer luck, just as I was about to give up. The SEL was yellow and said £80 reduced to £60 and then £40. It scanned at £10.

Phew what a day I've had. blooming printer has packed in so at 7am I was handwriting lists :) Got to Mr T's by 8 and found Toy cranes £50 to £25 scanned at a fiver. Tescos Deep fat fryer £6.30. Looked for a Karcher pressure washer and found a carpet cleaner instead for £15 (£115 shelf price) - mum wants that. Tricity kettle under £2. Hell of a lot of time and effort today though but such fun finding the bargains!!!

Went to another Tescos and saw a couple buying 3 32" Technica TV's with freeview. Were £179 but they bought last ones on shelf but tipped me off price same online so when I got home I ordered one for me and my niece. http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.210-7084.aspx

Went out tonight but on way home found my legs took me to Tesco (goodness knows what they think of me - I practically live there) and I got a few small cheapies of toys, candles etc as well as reduced meat and salad. checked out a few items on scanner. They had desk fans for £4.50 but decided don't need.

BTW upstairs in St St*ph*ns where the clearance stuff is there are 2 Samsung Blueray players on the shelf (no remotes tho) and they were £99 reduced to £79 so I asked staff to scan and they are £37. didn't buy them myself if anyone wants one - still there tonight I noticed tho he has not put the shelf price back in front either. There was also Sony headphones that were £29.99 that were being cleared for damaged box at £19 but not enough of a bargain for me after my fiver ones the other day (which sound amazing - only ever used cheap muck headphones so this is a real pleasure).

Thanks to all who have posted their finds. If only H*lls manager would release his stash of laptops we will be really celebrating but there is talk of him sending them back - totally pointless and they will just go to other stores and other cities will get 'our' share of the bargains grrrrrr
  • Well done all for your finds ppl- not been well so haven't been able to get much on the bargains front but when I went to get milk tonight I got a till spit for £20 off sat nav, so if deals are still going and any one wants it then pm me. Also got a couple of the meany beanyz things - my daughter made me buy some earlier in the year at full price so I picked some up today and then she told me she doesn't really like them!! If anyone is interested then let me know.
Not sure if Its ok to post this here - sorry if it's not, just sharing what I dont need:)
  • Hi there.

Anyone seen anyting in any Belfast stores???????
  • Just in case you haven't read the Tesco Toy sale thread - there are many good MSErs offering swaps etc on their bargains... might be worth a look if something specific needed... infact, the thread is very similar to this one... everyone seems unselfish and getting just as much enjoyment from helping others as themselves.

  • I went into the Extra at B*rnst*ple today and was talking to the electrical guys and they told me that they will be getting lots of new Tvs in this week so will be selling off discontinued lines cheaply and display models - he did say this will be happening all over the country and also next week the same will be happening with the laptops and netbooks

So don't give up hope yet as im sure there are still plenty of bargains to be had

The one I got yesterday works fine. Another MSEer is having it from me but I tested it so I know it works before I send it.

Snap! The perils of having twins! :D

Mine are not twins but close in age - eldest asked for either laptop or camcorder ( i would have loved to have seen her face if i had managed to get both at bargain prices - she would never expect to receive both!!)

youngest has asked for either a laptop or electric scooter!!

I think i caught onto this deal just a bit too late
