  • I am loving the way this thread is going. Not only are people getting bargains but people are helping others too. This is true MSE style.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

  • As hard as it will be, Im not going to bother going again. Well done to all those who got a bargain, but I come on this site to help me save money and instead I keep getting tempted to buy things I dont really need hahaha:rotfl::rotfl:

The most frustrating thing about Galli0ns reach branch was that I couldnt understand why the cupcake maker/george foreman grills/black and decker sander/kettles/toasters etc were all together when they wouldnt normally be, but scanned full price??!! I wonder if staff can override head office pricing?

I managed to get a Black and Decker mouse sander (£12) from there yesterday and a set of Sony headphones (£4) earlier on today. The headphones magically re-appeared overnight as I was there the day before and the specific model number and colour were no where to be seen.

Got chatting with a really helpful staff member upstairs in the lecki level and he told that nearly everything was gone in the first three hours of opening on friday.

He did say there was one Sony stereo system left in the back room but when he came back he informed me that it was probably snapped up by a staff member.

I think we just need to face the fact that..... others beat us to it! News had travelled too far by the time it landed here at MSE :(

I've found reduced items in my local stores with yellow store 'reduction' labels over the bar code which are for much more than people have reported them scanning for :(
  • Just to give a bit of hope to those who think they've missed it all by now - i've been to my nearest T a couple of times with no joy (nearest one is 20 miles so cannot get there too often) - today was in the area of a T extra, debated whether to call in , convinced all would be long gone - went with list posted by UkMark on page 75 - nothing. about to give up when spotted a battered box with ex display Samsung E71 black camera, label said 89.00 reduced to 80.00. Would not scan, SA had to peel back label and put in the number - she did say this may mean you have a bargain, but her face when she said its £10.00 was a picture - in a good way, she was really nice about it! Checked it out, everything was there in the box, so i was v pleased. I went back and got a few other things that had reduced to clear labels, not on the list, but all scanned at the price on the label, so it was just luck really. Anyways, thanks everyone who has posted lists and items they got, keep hunting, still stuff out there! ss
  • What is the model number for the reduced food processors please saw 4 of them I think in my local just need to check they are the right ones before I try and struggle with them to the till!!!!
  • Checked cra@avon (NI store) tesco's this morning. They had the 71p irons today - they were none last week. There was 1 Tricity breadmaker but was unboxed and had a yellow reduced sticker £59.80 stuck to its side. The tech guys were great, checked for the twin portable DVD players for me there was the box with the man and the box with they boy. One was £79 and the other £99. Was told that the cheap laptops all went thur and fri last week. Didn't check sat navs or camera's. The hairdryer section had been cleared out - i'm assuming these must have been going through cheap. Found the Silk epil 5 but scanned at full price. There were some shavers left didn't bother scanning though. Got a technika hifi dvd, radio and cassette tape player for £8.50. The hifi was silver and the speakers wood with a silver face - if that makes any sense, box was green and white. I hope that is helpful to someone.

Looby I've never heard of these Philips 'wake me up' i'm off to research them!

Have you ever been to the big Netherfields store? Its in Notts and is supposed to be non foods only? I was thinking of giving that a try but as its a big non foods I imagine that it was cleared of its goodies very early on in the sale! I think its just over an hour away from me if the sat nav is accurate.

I went to Netherfield on Sunday and they didn't have much that I could see. There was a B&D heat gun downstairs at the back.

But they could have re-stocked or something.. I managed to get a kenwood foodprocessor fp196 for £9 from Huckn&ll this evening (SEL at £9 and last one) and also a shiny new laptop Dell Insprion 17R for £199 from there too. I was chatting to the SA at the electrical desk whilst buying the kenwood saying I had heard there had been a sale on laptops and that was what I had really wanted and a male SA overheard and said he thought there was a Dell in the back for £199, did I want it? - bingo :T

There was one in the clearance section of the Tesco I was in today. SEL said £99. It scanned at £99. It went back on the shelf!

I've had no luck. I've found a RTC iron for £14, which I needed and a Bodyclock for £10 which I didn't need but have offered to someone else on here. I'd like to find a Kenwood hand blender and a slow cooker, personally, and I'd have absolutely loved a Canon Ixus camera. I think the bargains are getting few and far between now though.

theres a kenwood hand blender reduced from £50 to £14 in newbury, was sat on the shelf last night and today, i almost bought it but then decided against it, HTH
