Thank you so much for that. If I get the chance I will go there tomorrow. I will let you know if I find any good deals an promise I won't buy them all!

The electrical hair staff/shavers are on the back wall next to the pharmacy. They had a SEL for the £10 lumie thingy yesterday but shelf was bare. They also had the tesco straightners for £1.23. I didn't check any of the shavers as I didn't read about them until after I had come back. There were loads of reduced teles on a cage infront of the electrical counter but they were not redced by much. Didn't scann any of them though.

Hope you find some stuff :D

I love these "I bought 74 of every item I could find but I'm not going to eBay it. It's all for my family and friends. Honest" posts.

Sure it is because, obviously, everyone needs a big stack of bread makers and cameras.

And yes, perhaps I am a little bitter. I moved house recently and there are a few items, such as a decent iron, that I am desperate for and could really use a good deal on because my budget is really, really tight. However, I've not been able to get to even one Tesco store to see if I can find any of the items I need as my nearest is 8 or 9 miles away, I live in a rural area with no bus service, and my car is off the road at the moment because I need new brake pads for it and can't afford the £40 for them.

As long as those emptying out entire stores for their "family and friends and not eBay, honest" are happy though.

Yes, we're all just trying to get by at the moment, but if some people didn't take more than they need, more would be able to manage it. It's funny how some people see this as a "community" when they want something, (like information on the best deals), but it's every man for himself when it suits them.

How many of the people who've bought ridiculous quantities would have known what to look for without these posts, and how many of the people who really put themselves out to share information on bargains here have lost out because of that, I wonder.

But hey, human nature is human nature. The self-centred, greedy and shameless see nothing wrong in it, so they'll never change. Sadly.

It is possible for societies to change. It's been happening since the dawning of time.

My Dad would love a lumie body clock. Please could someone tell me whereabouts in store to look. Are they with the home electrics - kettles etc, or with shavers and hairdryers etc. Many thanks for your help
I'm also after one of these. If anyone in Edinburgh finds one could you let me know?

Although not as good a bargain, there is a thread, stating boots has a lumie on offer at £40.

its store specfic with the price reductions depends on stock holding if they stock the product
  • is it just me, or what??!!!

i seem to get a better sense of wellbeing and .. i suppose, a warm fuzzy feeling that ive kind of helped someone, if i only take what i actually need from the shelves, and leave the rest to others to discover, either, by accident when they get to the till and the total amount comes up cheaper, or actually telling others about it instore who are looking at similar items...

To the previous poster, where they have listed the insane amounts they have gotten....... maybe next time, try offering it around, you may feel a bit of self worth? ... :)
