I fail to understand why anyone would use Barclays or any other bank or supermarket to buy insurance.

All they do is go to an insurance company and then stick on their 25% or whatever and charge it to the customer.

Far better to go direct to the insurance company, either directly or through a price comparison site to get the best prices.

I have never yet seen a quote for insurance from a bank or supermarket that cannot be easily beaten within a few minutes. Insurance through a bank or supermarket is for the rich and lazy.
