Monks Cross Retail - ParkingEye

A little warning to anyone who uses Monks Cross. Around a month ago they installed ParkingEye due to the car park being abused by local office workers.
If you are there to shop and think you may need longer than the 4hours allowed you can go to the information centre and register your numberplate and they will ensure you do not get a parking ticket.
If anyone is caught out like I was last week going over the 4hours by a few mins and getting a PCN notice from ParkingEye get in touch with the Monks Cross Management and they will cancel it for you.

Or I can re-word the warning:
'If you use Monks Cross be aware that they have allowed an infamous private parking 'company' to infest the car park.
If you get a fake PCN from Parking Eye just laugh, ignore it and file all the letters that follow (see the stickies at the top of this sub-forum). It's a scam like all private parking bogus PCNs so please don't take it seriously or think you have been fined (you have NOT). No need to panic, no need to contact anyone as it's just a piece of rubbish.'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
