Yep, clause 2.3 in the T&Cs
2.3 In the unlikely event that Clydesdale Bank PLC become insolvent, the
e-money on your Wallet may lose its value and become unusable and
accordingly you may lose the opportunity to spend the money on the Wallet
They pretty much all say this to be honest.0 -
It's advertised as a Travel Money Card but Fairfx.com do a sterling card. We use the dollar one and they are fantastic. Not sure if it's got all the functionality you want but it's worth a look.0

A pre-paid debit card?
That's called a bank account isn't it?:DWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
We belong to the Earth0 -

Free to buy, free to load, free to use and cashback.
It does look good. Theres a £1.50 charge for cash machine withdrawals tho
Are there any banks offering anything close to this at the moment?
I'd been thinking about dropping my o2 card for a while anyway as there are cheaper tariffs around... Doesn't seem like there's any good alternatives though.0 -

Cheaper tariffs? The 02 card was free to load, and free to use..... what exactly is cheaper than "free" ??0 -
Sorry I meant cheaper phone deal than o2. The card is all that was keeping me as a customer as Tesco for example have a much cheaper tariff.0

AA Spend & Earn
Free to use in UK shops/online
Free to load (by transfer from bank)
Earns points that can be exchanged for vouchers that can be spent in a wide range of high street shops.

Thanks for the suggestion. Signed up and my FREE card came within a week!!
I've topped up via Paypoint to try out. (3p in the £1 charge) If over £35 I'll use the Post Office as 99p. Debit Card option to explore as free. Have to keep using card regularly else £1 monthly after 3 months non use.
I've used my card very easily a couple of times on the net.
I like the way you can view your account online and see pending payments that you couldn't see with o2 money. (unless kept the text)
Only annoyance will be pre-auth unspent amounts where I replace this card on various online shopping accounts etc. that had o2 money card registered with them!0 -
I had to renew my AA membership today so signed up for the AA card too --- will top it up before I go and get petrol, then I'll earn points which will make next year's membership cheaper. Seems a better deal for a driver than the 02 card was!!
(I'm also likely going to Tesco mobile if 02 don't give me as good a deal as Tesco too!!)0
