I wrote to GEMoney re a loan I had with them (now paid) asking if there was ppi on it. Received reply today :-
A Payment Protection Insurance was held on the above account however, expired on 3rd June 2008. Therefore no rebate is due.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there
I would then if mis sold go for the reclaiming of the PPI, they have confirmed there was PPI.
Do not worry about this rebate matter, that is nothing to do with refunding of ppi, so give it a go with the reasons you have for reclaiming.
Just complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, send to them and keep a copy for yourself, they should keep you updated of the progress of your complaint, good luck.

It depends on what you are asking? if you simply wrote to them asking if there was PPI, then it sounds like they sent an appropriate response.0

I just wrote to them asking if there was ppi on it as I have no details just the account number. Dont even know what I borrowed off them. Do you think I should send a sar.0

If you want to see documentation on your account then yes request the SAR.
Remember if your unhappy with the PPI then you will need to make a complaint, which can be done in writing or over the phone.0 -
Thanks Roonaldo.......will give them a ring on Monday0
