I didn't mean you fay, I meant my own post...

My new years resolution is not to discuss feedback at all, ever, ever, ever again.

    Soo

Fay, hope your day gets better..mine is deteriorating as the path outside my house has been dug up and I can't park my car except illegally,. Gas board say I can't access my garage for 24-36 hours and council won't allow me to park on the street and have warned me they will ticket me. As I live in a major town centre there is no other parking..so I may have to take my car to a multi storey or something later just to avoid a parking ticket.

No-one reads the stickies we do have :)

There's an interesting phenomena which I have discovered and taken the liberty of coining the term 'sticky blindness' /bow, no really, no applause, please...

People tend to see stickies, but after regular visits to a forum, won't notice them any more. After a certain number of threads have been stickied, say, 6 or 7, people don't notice when a new one is added, because it's all part of the block of stickies that you've been ignoring for months.

I confess I only notice a sticky if it's in bold because someone has posted on it!
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

    Hi there.

I've been buying and selling in small on ebay recently.. built up 40 feedback prob half and half buying and selling. All good.

My question is generally who should give the feedback first. The buyer or the seller? I'm worried sometimes that I'd give feedback then get neg... or I feel like the other person is waiting for me before they give me good feedback! Could be me being paranoid but a few of them hadn't left feedback after a week. The day I left feedback, they then left good feedback!

The other prob is one item took 3 weeks delivery. The guy said he had been away but I wasn't to know. Once again he wouldn't give feedback until I did so I gave him the good feedback as with only 40, 1 neg would take my percentage right down!

So for future reference, should i conceded? THanks :)

    A wee bit of advice.
Always use seperate eBay accounts for buying and selling. You can have as many accounts as you like, so long as they never interact with one another.
A neg on a buyer account means absolutely nothing.
However, a Neg on a seller account can have quite a lasting impact on sales.

As a buyer, you will come across bad sellers - they're all to common on eBay.
Not everything that's cheap is a bargain
  • I leave feedback once the other person has. I never chase them for it, or ever ask them to leave it. So if they don't leave feedback, I don't bother, I just don't get the feedback and neither do they.
