Chester retail park - ParkingEye

I parked here few weeks ago did some shopping & had lunch. Then yest I received letter from Parkingeye. Its called a "Parking Charge Notice" and says I was there over the 3 hour limit (I was there 4hrs 21), and therefore they are asking me to pay £90, reduced to £60 if paid by next Wed.
I have receipts from several shops and pizza hut to prove I was shopping there. So should I send these off and say I am refusing to pay or should I just totally ignore this letter?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Ignore the muppets, there is no appeal, engaging with them only encourages them to bombard you with ever inflating invoices, as that is what they are, they are NOT FINES0

Try contacting the retail park, they may cancel the PCN, have done for me.LBM April 2011 £4906

Wasn't a waste of energy for me, I've had the PCN cancelled and been told where to go next time I shop to register my numberplate allowing me to take as long as I need to shop. I'd all that a result.funkycoldribena wrote: »Wouldnt bother, waste of energy.LBM April 2011 £4906

I think the point is that if you get a Parking Eye invoice you can just ignore it as you've got more chance of winning the lottery than Parking Eye have of successfully taking you court and being able to enforce their invoice, so the best advice is just to bin it.
Basically what you're saying is that you've made the effort to phone or write to someone in order to get them to tell you don't have to pay something you never had to pay in the first place and you're now going to go out of your way to register your numberplate in order not to receive invoices that you'll never have to pay. I'm not sure I'd call that a result

Well if it makes them happy.... but seriously any engagement with ppcs only encourages them, so they are best ignored0
