"Please accept our apologies. Due to essential maintenance, it is not possible to apply online for a Travel Money Card Plus at this time.
If you want to register your card, or are an existing cardholder and wish to top-up your card, you can do so by logging on as usual with your Username, Password and Access code
You can apply still for a Travel Money Card Plus from a participating Post Office branch."
Taken this from the post office travel money card page it has been down for a couple of days now and after ringing them up they are saying it wont be back for at least a few days. Knowing the size of the Post Office I cannot see any reason why something this vital would be down for this long. All seems a bit suspicious to me!
Does anyone know what is going on, or maybe be able to get a more detailed answer out of the post office.

I don't know but the PO recently relaunched their Travel Money product so I can only imagine they are having some systems problems.
Anyway, I would look elsewhere for a travel money card. The one from the PO is fairly expensive compared to others on the market. People tend to trust the Post Office so they can get away with charging more than their competitors.0 -
To be honest I wasn't ever going to get the card but I am interested to know what is going on especially since they were so cagey on the phone.0
