Halifax One credit card - Removed online option to pay by debit card

Halifax Credit Cards accept Faster Payments. This means you can get a payment to clear the account within 2 hours of requesting the money to be sent.Well, if one doesn't have a current account with Halifax, it makes it impossible to pay off a foreign currency withdrawal quickly. This means that the amount of interest payable will be greater.
Sounds cynical to me but then again it's just the bank maximising profits and that's OK. Isn't it?0 -
18 months have passed since that post and it has still not been reintroduced.
Why accept other banks debit cards to pay off your credit card bill, which will cost the bank money to process the transaction and take 2 - 3 days to process, when you can pay off the bill with faster payments and have it credited within 2 hours?0
