How much do I owe for temporary boiler installation?

Would be really grateful if anyone could help.
I recently employed a builder to re-vamp the bathroom completely and build a kitchen extension. This included £1,156 for installing a new boiler on the other side of the kitchen from the old one.
Work on the bathroom started, but the heating system didn't work after it was drained in order to fit a towel warmer. The part needed to fix the boiler would have cost £150, so as we were going to have a new boiler, we agreed there was no point in fixing the old one and that the new one would be fitted temporarily in place of the old one until the extension was ready for it to be moved.
Unfortunately, we were so dissatisfied with work in the bathroom, we decided not to have the extension built by the same builder. We are now negotiating how much we owe him. The boiler is clearly not fitted permanently and we still intend to have it moved, so how much is reasonable to pay the builder for the temporary installation?
All help gratefully received.

If he has carried out the temporary installation of the boiler for the quoted price, it works and has been installed correctly and safely by a registered GSR fitter, then IMO you owe him the full money he quoted you.0

Thanks for replying.
The quote was for moving the boiler across a room. I would have thought it would cost more to move a boiler to a different place rather than just replacing. I'm not trying to get out of paying him, just not more than is fair.0 -
I get it now!
Well at best you could possibly argue over the odd £156, but no more IMO.
Impossible to say from here though without seeing what was entailed in the job.0
