Post-wedding blues??

I feel very sad that I'll never get to do it again... wear the dress, have the hair and makeup done, share these incredible moments with my husband... People tell me that this is what vow renewals are for, but it's not the same!!
Anyone else felt the post-wedding-blues?

There were some comments on those lines on the 'things I've learnt' thread - think sammy wheeler said she cried for 2 days. Must admit that along with the slight OMG-its-only-6.5weeks feeling, I'm also wishing it wasn't so close as I don't want it all to be over.
Mind you, maybe this isn't the place to say it, but I felt like you did once before after my first wedding and DID get to do it all over again. Not the ideal scenario but gotta find an upside somewhere :rotfl:0 -
I'm not sure, but I know I keep thinking - well should have done that differently, and wishing I could go back and change things
Still so much has happened this year, new baby, moving house, getting married etc etc I think I still have the relief that there's nothing left I need to plan - otherwise I might well be sad it's all done

I was like that Sun, Mon and Tues. (I got married last Fri -26th)
Mine was made even worse for the fact that my parents & sister went back home to Australia on the Sun & it suddenly hit me Sun afternoon when we were at home & everything was quiet.
All 5 of us had been busy every single day of August. We haven't been on a honeymoon, haven't the funds to do it. We were going to do day trips & have a few nights away but I was so random with missing my family I didn't want too, wouldn't of enjoyed it.
I find myself wishing we'd done things differently, like my dad and I being a bit more slower walking down the isle.
I've also just taken the last photos of my wedding topper as its now gone in the bin (it was edable, but not really cos of the all the wire sticking into it)
I'm back at work (school) next Mon so hopefully that gets my mind off it all. It goes soooo quick, I mean tomorrow and its been 1 week already...Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
I keep thinking our wedding is going to be like Christmas... I get all engrossed in the planning and the run up, watching loads of trashy made-for-tv films, finding the perfect gifts, then the day comes, and it's such an anticlimax that goes in a flash. But with Christmas I can start counting down till the next one. Can't do that with a wedding. We're getting married in July next year, hoping to have our honeymoon within a couple of days after so that'll keep us occupied. Then when we get back within a fortnight we're off to my brother's wedding (which one the one hand will be exciting, but I'm scared that I'll feel really sad that it's not my wedding again). Then my big project is going to be creating our wedding album from photos I've taken, photos from the professional, and photos from our guests. That should keep me busy during the summer holidays before I go back to school.... I hope anyway!!0

So glad someone else feels like this !
I was only saying to DH this week I wish we could do it again ! Some days I feel so down it is unbelievable !
We got married on April 21st in Florida. We have booked flights to go back to Florida in November , very naughty really, but need something to look forward too !
I wonder when it goes away ?!0 -
I think the day after i was ok, we asked all the family around to our house before they went home as we wanted to tell them all about baby bump together. It carried the wedding celebrations on for another day.
It was the days after that that were a downer. I wouldnt have changed anything from our day or done anything differently but it went by so quickly and afterwards it was kinda like, "what to do now?". I thought things would be special for at least a week afterwards, but things got back to normal quite quickly and noone seemed interested anymore!:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
4 weeks and it's my 1st wedding aniversary.
I'd do it all again tomorrow if I could!
We're already talking about renewing our vows in 2015
