packed lunch not an option? far cheaper
nop1's aren't suppose to stay for dinner so they only yet them stay if they stay for dinners, pack lunch is in a diferent hall so i assume it's to save on man power, i said to hubby we could just not have them stay for dinner for abit and i could feed them here it would just mean they come home abit earlier but he wasn't up for it i can sorta understand tho we don't want to chop and change and confuse them, i guess i'll just have to grin and bare it and pay it, it's not the end of the world and it's not gonna kill us it will just mean less goes in the savings for this month

Think first shop was £68 and last weeks was £77 with some unessentials - so far £145 - looks like we'll be saving about £100 compared to our usual over £400 spend.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

I really MUST keep away from the vouchers/groceries threads
Popped into MrT's this morning and spent exactly £10 on milk, veg, fruit, tinned tomatoes etc., got home feeling quite pleased with myself for keeping my spend so low.
Got home, grabbed a cuppa and logged into MSE, that was when I made the mistake of checking out the vouchers/groceries threads!
£4 chickens on a bogof
£5 BBQ meat packs at half price
Add to that the fact that I still had 2 x £1 off vouchers and my postman kindly delivered me a £10 gift card from surveys, there was nothing for it, I just had to go back.
Downside, I spent another £35.86 in cash
Upside, It would have cost me £85.15 without any offers/vouchers/giftcards :T
My freezer and cupboards are now jam packed, so, hopefully, I should only need fresh veg, fruit and milk for a long while.

Firstly congratulations to puzzledbubble on your new baby. On the GC still plodding away. Spent more than I liked to this week but the offers were there for stocking up purposes so needs must. Going to try and just buy milk and fruit next week to keep on track. Have a good weekend everyone!"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

I don't think vouchers are a bad thing as long as you would have brought the stuff anyway. Our freezer is full to bursting with reduced items and b1g1fs.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -

 Have been offline for a few days cos my laptop had a brain fart, but back in the land of the living now. Have topped up fresh fruit & veg, got loads of yogurts (the ones in T*sco's are the only ones with flavour combinations I like, so not much of a saving to buy in the cheaper shops when there's always 1 out of a 4 pack that I can't stand!
). Also got some sausages, some whoopsied bread & rolls and some tins of tomatoes. Am still on target for the month........ fingers crossed!

Been round a few shops today so a bit of spending, discount shop stocked up on crisps, maryland bars and mug shots for dinners for works so £9.24 spent there. Spent a huge £1.54 in coop on some kitkats and 2 packs of huggies ( 2 x £1.00 vouchers). Morrisons 3 x dog food, 2 x free sacla sauces (vouchers) and some scholl bars for DDs packed lunches all with 10% off with my grandmas discount card £15.08. Tesco was a £33.71 spend but within this I had free soup, free shreddies, 30p off vitalite, £2.00 off huggies pull ups which were already b1g1f, had a £7 off £50 voucher so stocked up and some bits and managed to get 2 x 5p off petrol vouchers too.
Total for today £59.57, tesco have given me another £7 off £50 voucher that runs out next sunday but ay give this to my mam as I have just got a new job today and think that I will lose about £400 whilst I change over jobs which we cannot afford. I have full cupboards and 2 full freezers so we will have to eat what is in and just get fresh. To get to Disneyland Florida 20160
