I know the price of food is going up but seriuosly my shopping is a joke, I have spent £163 having two home deliveries and this is still not everything stocked up on for the month. I really don't think theres a chance of hitting budget we seem to have ran out of all basics at the same time (past, rice, sauces) still got more shopping to do tomoro and saturday, am trying the huggies starter pack glitch at Mr A on saturday and am tempted by the custard glitch at Mr T especially since they have lager on offer which they decided to miss off my order. Mr T sent me a pizza that should be half price and charged full, have upped the price of their own weetabix by 69p in 2 days and sent me the so called free sample of cereal and charged me for it needless to say an email of complaint has been sent so will see if I get anywhere with them. Off to order baby food from boots whilst it is still 3 for 2, hope veryone is doing better than me at this.

  • Evening all, just popping on to update with yet another spend, grrrr. I called in to MrT's to see if the jelly/custard/rice glitch was working, it was so I ended up spending £21.89 but that was on some meat for next weeks meal plan and some much needed toilet roll. I also managed to get a stupid amount of jelly/custard/rice so I am well stocked up for lunch boxes. My total saving was £47.53!!!!!

I also managed to womble 4 receipts so thats another 76points to go on my club card. All in all a good day.

I am starting to panic now though, my total is £134.62/£250 and we still have a looooong way to go this month. On the upside, I am sorted for next week (with exception of fruit and veg) and I will probably be able to pad out next weeks meals to stretch and freeze some for the week after. Still off the smokes so that is saving me a small fortune x
    Just little old me!
  • Back to report on the repeat of my NSD goal today and I am happy to add that I avoided buying pizzas and made Spagetti carbonara instead with cheese and bacon I found in the freezer!:j

Back on track with my budget!:j

    Hi all,

Just popped in to thank WelshW, Chloris and Rosieben for their suggestions :)i have a pretty good idea of what to cook now, veg soup being made this weekend for freezer, as well as some Falafal, will make some more bits next week

Will have to shop today, but not for too much, either Bacon bagguettes tonight or chilli depending on what the troops fancy.

Have a good day all x

  • nsd 4 for me yesterday, mostly becuase i ended up in hospital for the afternoon with suspected pre-eclampsia, however all is fine and i was sent home with no concerns - hoping Elvis makes an appearance soon!

Unfortunately today is not going to be the same as i need to pop out and get a loaf of bread and some naan bread from A!di to go with the home made chicken curry that im going to make for tea.

I have started a tesco shop online to cover the main bulk of things that we need but at the moment i am not sure if we will need any of it for next weeks meal planning so am thinking that i will have a look again tomorrow and might leave that on there and pop to A!di with OH so he can carry the bags of bits we do need :)
  • Morning all,

Just had a look at what I have spent so far this month and my total is £189.87/£300 which actually doesn't sound that great.... I have another big shop due to be delivered next week as there are some offers I want to take advantage of from Mr T before they expire which will take me to around the £270 mark. Hopefully after that it should only be a few things like milk and bread that i'll need to pick up.... I'm still hopeful of staying in budget! :::fingers crossed:::

Have a good day everyone :)
