  • Hi Keystone, Oh the job is done ! i did not catch that bit ! in that case the client should pay the fitter for what its worth ie the extras £ 125 maybe fairer.

    Not necessarily. If the builder can justify the extra cost, then pay it, or pay some of it according to the explanation given.

    But it does sound as if he gave a rough estimate, then found it took him longer, so he charged more. Still, the OP needs to talk to the chap.
