  • cvs can always be cut down. make sure there is no white spaces, even lengthen page boundaries etc.

    i sent 50 odd letters and cvs last year, 5 interviews 24ish written responses etc, varying companies in financial sector in edinburgh. just searched yell. didnt customise letters and they seemed to go down well.
  • with great respect the_doomed, i don't agree with you about not leaving any white space. as graphic desinger, i'm very aware that people faced with a large chunk of text can be put-off reading it.

    far better to be concise and send someone a document that looks like it has lots of 'breathing space'.

    where i would agree with you probably is that microsoft word often makes pages very short, so it's quite easy to get a bit of extra length.
    Boyfriend & I have saved £12K in two years, thanks to careful budgeting and keeping a record of what we spend. I've never paid myself this amount of money before - it feels great!
