Just had my RBS payout.

Hi there, just joined so I could share my great news with those who have PPI claims going through at the moment.

Back in mid March 2011 I lodged a claim with my bank whom I have a loan with (RBS). After just over 5 months & many many phonecalls I received a letter last week from them, offering me "without admitting liability" just under £2400 back including the 8% interest:T. This was such great news I was really happy:D. Tonight I came home to another letter from them, I was hoping it was the cheque, but no, it was another letter to myself but with another loan account number. Apparently I'd consolidated my loans back in 2005, with me so far? The figure above was for my old loan. I kept reading the letter which was from my now current loan, they'd offered my just under £5000 for overpayments on this loan:j.

So all in all, I'd had 2 loans, but both were 'amalgamated' in 2006, so the total I've been pain back is just a few pounds under £7300:T. Tonights letter came by surprise, I had to check the name & address was actually me & that the loan account number wasn't a duplicate / admin error, but it all looks genuine. Looking back through the log of calls I made to the RBS (dates & who I spoke to), late June I was told about this amalgamation & that another claim had been opened.

So, thanks RBS:beer:.

Anyone who is a bit unsure whether to complain to their bank etc, just do it, the worst they can say is 'it's not come out in your favour', in which case you just carry on.. For me personally it was worth the 5 month wait. With what they've given me back I can now clear the loan off completely & enjoy the extra £320 a month to myself.

A lot of the tips I'd read on here, so thanks to all those who have taken the time to write them down for our collective benefit:wave:.

Sorry for being a noob & waffling on, just felt the need to share & up peoples confidence!
