                    Hi
There's currently a nearby development with 3 houses left for sale.
They are all 2 bedrooms, smallest house 576 sq. feet
I currently have saved £40k and living with parents. I know I'm unlikely to afford it but still interested to look into the market:)
While i Know that new houses are silly prices/ overpriced, these houses are going for £240k:rotfl: 40minutes by train from London
Do Taylor Wimpey/ other firms, offer discounts on their stated price?
I thought if they were desperate to sell quickly, they would offer suitable discounts?
With 3 properties all with 2 beds, its seems like they are over priced and hence they might be looking to offload cheaply.
Is it even worth booking a view and seeing what they offer?
Looking forward to views on people who have got discounts, explain why they got them and and tips. Anyone with insider knowledge would be fantastic

If they've only got three left they are likely to be wanting out of there soon. If they've got empty houses they've spent money to build with nobody buying them then they're out of pocket. Taylor Wimpey's financial year doesn't end until 31st December so the pressure to get sales in before then probably isn't on them yet. If you were looking in November/December they would bite your bits off to get you to buy. Saying that, with the current market, and that builders have been walloped by it, see what they'll give you - whether it might be "incentives" (carpets, curtains, turf (spoil us or what)) or a good discount. Some will offer an allowance of your Stamp Duty Land Tax or towards legal and other fees. Give it a try and push them for more. They won't turn you away.0
