Halifax PPI reclaim

Halifax have held up the complaint but want us to sign in 'full and final' settlement before advising of the total figure!! I said no that how could anyone sign F&F if they do not know what they are accepting. Their Helpline advisor said it was just a formality and that it was just to enable them to proceed with the claim!

It's quite common at the moment. What you're agreeing to is "how" they will settle the complaint, not the final sum. If they promise a refund plus interest then that's what they have to pay. If they don't, you have every right to go back and get them to correct it.
