Having bought one of these, it worked the first time but I did not recharge the battery and it seems it must be recharged on a regular basis whether or not it is used. A new battery pack is about £65! I paid £90 for the trimmer plus battery pack originally and so wish I had read the small print regarding instructions carefully as my one hedge cut has been very expensive. Does anyone know whether standard batteries could be used instead? Any help will be much appreciated.
